This "Lovely Dovely" sweater was super fun to make. I can't wait until it gets colder so I can actually wear it! Actually it started with me getting yarn that I never worked with before so I can try it out. I purchased this cotton yarn that was supposed to be dk weight (3) yarn, but honestly it wasn't. It was more of a worsted weight (4) yarn, so I decided to make a sweater with it. That's when I came across this gorgeous pattern!

This sweater is just so pretty! Before attaching the sleeves, it makes a really cute top on its own too. I actually may go back and remake this sweater into just the top without the sleeves!

Speaking of sleeves, this was my very first clothing item where I actually made an actual sleeve for. So when I attached them, I made a rookie mistake. I attached them a bit too far, so it actually turned this sweater into an off the shoulders sweater! Which honestly, that wasn't a big deal for me because that was also still cute too!
I fixed it by basically just making another strap and attaching it to the upper back side. That way if I wanted to wear it as a regular sweater and not off the shoulders, I was able to. For that part, I'd just ask my husband to tie the strap for me since it's kind of hard to reach in that area lol.

Honestly, I love this "Lovely Dovely" sweater by Cozy Creative Crochets! Such a cute pattern! I did make some tweaks from the original pattern too. One was the strap because of my mistake. Another was I added more shells around the inner part of the sleeves. I just thought it made it look even cuter than it already is.
